I’ve now got Steam games spread across 5 hard drives. One of which is a 5tb old school disk drive for the games I have A LOT of user made content for. I’ve gotta be in the terrabytes range at this point.

One mod specifically (Sven-Coop). Been playing almost daily since 1999.
I still fire up Duke 3d and Quake mods from time to time as well. There are lifetimes of user-made content in some of these older games.
Popped my Diddy Kong Racing in about 6 months ago to see how it held up.
It doesn’t.
The gameplay in Mario Kart is way better. The racing in DKR feels clunky. I realized the main reason I liked DKR back in the day was because it had a single player campaign and a lot of secrets to find. I still respect it for those qualities, but it is not a better racing game than Mario Kart.
Enjoy it. It’ll be their last.
Because Valve can’t count to…aww fuck it.
