I just wish the SD was a bit more powerful. Recently especially with those UE5 games we need to install some custom scripts just to make them playable and usually they don’t even look good. I love the Deck, but Steam should really update the APU.

You can easily upgrade the internal storage. I bought a 512GB OLED and exchanged the storage to 2Tb.

Yes, it is a cool little game, definitely worth the consideration for experienced and beginner programmers.

I bought two games:

• The farmer was replaced - a simple Idle game, where you need to use a Python like code to automate a farming drone with farming hat that is doing the farming for you and the complexity of the tasks is increasing progressively. This game is in early access and has no discount but the price is 7€, so hardly breaking the bank.
• European Truck Simulator 2 - because it was just 2€ and it looks chill, even though I am not much into car racing games.

And already have 98% positive reviews. Crazy.

I don’t think that Rog Ally is very successful though. Do you have some sales numbers? And releasing a new model every year will add complexity as they will need to support different hardware platforms, etc.

I also agree that it would have been great if the Deck had more oomph, but they do compensate with great software support and real dedication on their side.

Check what this pending-charge state means. People are saying to simply wait for 5-10 minutes and see if it will start charging and also recommend to leave it to discharge more, as it might be some battery preservation mechanism.

To be honest I doubt your issue has anything to do with the hub. Maybe it is connected with your USB-C port. You can also try to connect a charger and check the battery stats in the Konsole. upower -i /org/freedesktop/UPower/devices/battery_BAT1

This should give you the status of the battery and it’s health and whether it is charging or not.

Worth noting here is that you should try to connect with different chargers and cables to exclude problem with the charger/socket/cable.

My guess is that the charging port got loose or the connection between the port and your motherboard is broken. So it should be fairly easy to get fixed in any phone repair shop for not too much

I really enjoyed Dredge, Dave the diver runs also great on the Deck, but personally Dredge is more beautiful and controls are feeling more intuitive.

I also enjoyed The Forgotten City, the Long Dark, and The Outer Wilds.

Heck even God of war runs surprisingly well on the Deck.

The only problem I have is with shooters, because of the finicky aiming mechanism, even with the trackpad.

I am using mine fairly regularly, the display is absolutely amazing, I like the portable form factor and the beautiful screen. I have a PS5 as well but don’t play so much on it anymore. But there are some games that are simply better on a bigger screen, no two opinions about that, plus I would have liked it to be a bit more powerful as constant fiddling with graphical settings is tiring.

Apart from that I think Valve did an amazing job.

So I seriously miss the target audience of PS Portal? Are they only targeting people who want to use this device in their own houses either in the bed or on the sofa? And that’s a pretty steep price for such a useless device.

Yes, it still says it will be delivered tomorrow between 12 and 16, but what worries me more is that there have been no tracking updates since 24.11. The last update is from 24.11 at 15:33 that the parcel left the parcel centre. And since then nothing.

I bought a 2Tb SSD and hopefully will have it too so that I can upgrade the 512Gb -> 2Tb. Bought WD SN740 for 160€ which is I guess a good price.

Yes, I have ordered mine 22 minutes after the window opened and am still waiting. The device is sent already but it is with GLS and apparently they will need 6 days to transport it 800km, absolutely ridiculous, not to mention that their tracking sucks big time.
