Cartridge games were always fast to start. There are essentially no loading times on them, just maybe some logos that you would have to wait through. CD based systems are what introduced the concept of loading times to console gamers, because cds read data from the disk at a massively slower speed than a cartridge.

Just a Windows PC. On certain days, Bluetooth just decides not to work.

I downloaded it the other night but I couldn’t get my Bluetooth controller to connect. I’ll have to remember to give it a try again.

I remember reading in a gaming magazine that Konami was bringing the Simpsons to the SNES. I just knew it was going to be the arcade game, and I was so hyped for months just waiting and waiting for it. And then I got Barts Nightmare.

I never really understood all the rage over the water level. I could get through it when I was a kid and I didn’t even own the game, I would just play it at my friends house. Once you have the layout memorized it’s pretty easy to get through, maybe swapping turtles a couple times to spread out the damage.

I actually did have about 10 games, they went on sale for like $3 each when it was determined that the system was a failure.

I played the VB a ton when I was a kid. I guess I was just a dumb kid but it always felt fine to me, I never felt any eye strain or anything. Maybe I just have super eyes.

Yeah my friend got a Dreamcast and then I pirated all the games for him. It was one of the most awesome consoles ever with amazing games. But the few other people I knew with one at the time also pirated games. It was just so easy because it didn’t even need a modchip or anything. Just download, burn a CD, and play.

I loved my virtual boy when I was a kid. It felt like the future or something. It didn’t have a lot of great games, but I did get most of the best ones when blockbuster video started clearing out their inventory and sold games for like $5 each.
