Shame they never released VII, VIII and IX for the DS. At the very least, the 3DS would have been able to handle all the way up to the PS2 games but SE just didn’t seem interested in remakes on Nintendo consoles anymore for whatever reason.

1·3 years agoAh, I recognize the style but didn’t realize that it was specific to one computer. It’s cool to see various niche traced back to where they came from, over 20 years later and one PC is still having ripple effects on art today
This is also just a bad article. No real justification for why they listed one over another, just a listicle that mentions a couple of the greatest hits
Dang those are pretty. It’s kinda sad how little we get big, expansive pixel art environments these days
