Agreed, it’s something I’d like to slice out of the game and experience again but the rest was such a slog.

Playing Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon on 3DS. Cute but not loving it as much as the original. Not sure why.

Hard agree on Control; didn’t dig it at all.

I liked Blue Shift a little more than Opposing Force, but it’s so short (4 hours!) that it’s hard to believe it got a standalone release.

Just finished Link Between Worlds on 3DS. I highly recommend it. Now I’m getting ready for vacation and trying to decide what DS or 3DS game to play next. Suggestions welcome!

Ridge Racer 4 on PlayStation. Such great mechanics. It’s genuine fun.

I’ve always hated the American SMB2. I was surprised when I got older and found that it has a lot of passionate fans. To each their own!

It says on the site you need WINE so it’s hard to understand why Proton wouldn’t work easily.

Legend of Legaia is awesome. The grinding is something I had no problem with at age 15 but now it’s almost unbearable. In the US version you benefit from hours of grinding.

Pity about the sequel being so bad.

Depends on how you count it. I had an NES in the 1980s but did that classic kid thing where I sold it and all my games for the next generation (SNES). Therefore my oldest system is the NES I got around 2007.

I’m the same way — I’d simply never remove working components from my childhood Game Boy. There’s a real connection to an object that you can have. I hope to be buried with mine!

May I suggest a feather touch?

This one I have not tried yet but I think this review puts it on the map for me. My peak interest in pop culture was around 2000 so I bet I’d have luck with it.
