Oh no I get that. It really just depends on the game for me. Parasite Eve 2 is one of the prettiest games ever to me. There is something special about that era and the level of detail they were able to paint with the limited graphics.

Also realizing there’s the missing ingredient of a CRT screen, which is what brings it all together. Might change my tune seeing Silent Hill on a proper screen again.

The graphics aged gracefully, but I wouldn’t call them beautiful. I would definitely say the lighting is beautifully done tho. That’s what really completes the atmosphere imo.

This is a bit before my time… but anybody remember Flexi discs?

Only way to hear this killer rare Slowdive song (as far as I know).

You can hear in it’s quality why Flexi discs didn’t last… Still such a cool concept to get mini sample records from magazine pages tho.
