I’d say remaster to remake exists on spectrum. On one side you can have a “strict” remaster with graphical / modern compatibility updates and bugfixes, on the other side you can have what is essentially a different game, but one with common gameplay/themes/narrative. And then you have everything in-between.

Haven’t played the original, so it’s difficult for me to accurately judge, but I think this is some what universal.

I actually checkout his album on Bandcamp, it’s pretty good.

Movies from that time period also had a lot of drum and bass tracks.

It was a (relatively) new genre in the late 90s and it works well for energetic scenes and gameplay.

GTA2’s Funami FM had some drum and bass influenced tracks. The GTA2 intro movie used drum and bass in a way that’s very reminiscent of the time period:

I wish this trend of using drum and bass tracks would become popular again, it’s a such good fit for intense/energetic scenes and gameplay.

I am no supporter of Collective Shout, but there are many examples of US tech companies ignoring local laws due to a toxic mix of corruption and arrogance. Steam initially not giving refunds is one relevant example.

I don’t understand OP’s post. If you want sexy/porn games on Steam (I even have 1 or 2) best option is to comply with local laws and get rid of incest, rape and extreme fetish content.

The devs can setup a patreon (without explicit references to incest) and email new builds to subscribers. It’s not unreasonable to expect a few hoops considering the nature of the content. I would even go as far as saying that it’s in their benefit to keep a low profile (i.e. not be listed on Steam).

Valve openly refused to honour legally required refunds because of the culture of corruption and criminality that is unfortunately extremely prevalent in the US.

I believe it was complaints from Australia that forced them to provide refunds on a global level.

Are you sure that something like incest wasn’t illegal to start with in many places where Steam operates?

I would speculate that many places ban incest containing media and Steam simply didn’t bother following these rules.

I was wondering why the name sounded so strange (more so for the 90s). Turns out it’s “Realms of Chaos”.

I liked Blue Shift the most, I just wish it was longer.
